Description
The Photo documentation pL-Imager is a photo app for smartphones and tablets that is used for picture documentation of objects within the warehouse management system. The photos can be linked directly to the items in the warehouse management software pL-Store in order to document specific situations. They may include photographs from shipping, such as loaded pallets, inbound goods, picking, or of places and items as well.
pL-Imager Embedded (process-integrated)
A new button “photo” is placed in the respective process steps in the mobile dialogue. The button sends a photo order to the assigned Android device. The device then takes a picture directly. It is populated with EXIF information in the process (e.g. PID) and then filed on the pL-Store server. From there, the photo can be used further by external software or called up from the pL-Store with a viewer.
pL-Imager Pro (Stand-Alone)
The Android device may also be used independently for the pL- Imager. In this, the application case, e.g. “IG” is chosen from a configurable menu in the app. Subsequently, the information relevant for the application, such as the IG number or PID must be recorded/scanned with the Android device. Then the photograph will be loaded onto a server with the EXIF information.
PREREQUISITES AND REQUIRED HARDWARE
The smartphone or tablet pL-Flex app must be installed communicate with the warehouse management system pL-Store. The app has two parts:
- Configuration app
- Application app
You also need the following hardware:
- Android device (Smartphone/Tablet) Version 4.0 or higher
- Integrated camera
- Network / WLAN connection with the warehouse management system pL-Store
