The modern smart devices like Pick by Watch® can be easily connected to the LUCA-Server can be integrated. The range of hardware available is very wide and ranges from inexpensive consumer products to robust and professional constructions.
The Pick by Watch® serve only as display units with input capability. The entire process logic and order data are stored on the LUCA-Server filed.
Smart Watch or hand scanner?
The smart devices actually replace the old Held-Hands terminals. The user-friendly interface, which can be freely designed, opens up new perspectives for the process design of order picking systems. If required, the smart devices can be attached to special holders depending on the type of application.
Is one Smart Watch enough?
In an Android watch, the display and the battery runtimes are relatively small. The question is what information the employee really needs in his process. If that is only the storage location and the quantity, then it is no problem to work with a Smart-Watch. The scanner is then usually connected directly to the LUCA-Server. In this case, the Pick by Watch serves only as a simple display with touch function.
