Inkabi, the ox in isiZulu, is a powerful beast. Admired, revered, feared, and respected in many cultures, this magnificent animal has physical strength, a strong will and an uncompromising nature.
The muscle band around its neck and shoulders bolsters its imposing stature, reinforcing its appearance of belligerence, stubbornness, and its unbending nature. The term ‘bull-headed’ is quoted with reason.
In addition to instilling confidence, the ox also symbolises stability, hard work, methodical progress, and a rigid determination.
